remembrance quilt

After my dear friend's husband died, I made this tied comforter for her daughter's family. This could be, quite literally, a way to wrap everyone in memories and love.

 

On one side I built the blocks around center squares of the t-shirts  he had worn – Jack’s blue. On the other side, the blocks centered on images of the family though the years – laughing, playing, keeping close.
